Datwyler offers new feasibility check within 24 hours

Datwyler now offers a free feasibility check for elastomer components. Engineers and developers will receive in-depth feedback on the manufacturability of their products within 24 hours. This fast and competent support early in the development process helps customers save time and money. Datwyler is a leading supplier of high-quality, system-critical elastomer components and draws on state-of-the-art methods and over 100 years of experience.

Datwyler is a leading supplier of high-quality, system-critical elastomer components for several markets. The Business Unit General Industry provides sealing solutions for demanding applications in power tools, valves, hydraulics and pneumatics, medical devices, aerospace, agriculture, and the process and drinking water industries. Based on leading core competencies in solution design, material know-how, and opera-tional excellence, Datwyler supports its customers as a co-engineering partner in the development and production of elastomer components.

Fast and competent support early in the development process.

Datwyler now offers existing and new customers a feasibility check for new elastomer components. This is how it works: The customer contacts Datwyler via the website and provides the drawings or 3D files for a new molded part. Datwyler analyses the data, checks the manufacturability of the product, and provides in-depth feedback – within 24 hours and free of charge. If manufacturability is ensured, engineers at Datwyler point out any areas that could be optimized to ensure a smooth production process. If manufacturability is not assured, Datwyler’s specialists provide competent feedback and highlight the critical sections in the drawings or 3D files. Confidentiality is guaranteed throughout the entire process.

With this new feasibility check, we offer our customers fast and competent support early in the develop-ment process in the spirit of agile co-creation. The faster engineers and developers understand the manu-facturability challenges of their products, the sooner and more inexpensively
they can realize their ideas

Saving time and money.

Early assessment of the manufacturability of elastomer components can save customers time and money. The new feasibility check is aimed at engineers and developers working in technical departments, technical procurement personnel, but also students of elastomer science. For the fast assessment of the elastomer components, Datwyler draws on state-of-the-art methods and over 100 years of experience. For example, the broad-based materials development department can determine the parameters for finite elements and flow simulations in its own laboratory and use them for the simulations. In addition, customers benefit from the fact that the tools for the production process are developed in-house and manufactured in Datwyler’s own toolmaking unit. Datwyler also has its own mixing plants for compound production, which guarantee highest standards and continuity. With more than 20 plants in total on four continents, Datwyler offers world-leading production quality with local support and global supply capability. Longstanding customer relationships with leading suppliers from various industries attest to Datwyler’s expertise and quality.
